Vicki was the first Midwife to deliver at HOAG Newport Beach, CA and St Joseph Hospital of Orange, CA. She also has privileges at Hoag Hospital Irvine Birthing Suites.
As our Orange certified nurse midwife, Vicki is devoted to providing excellence in labor and delivery care.

Cassandra Albiso (Cassie)
Midwive
Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA, where she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns immediately out of college.
Family moved her to the Orange County area where she has been a Labor and delivery nurse at Hoag Newport Beach over the last five years.
Completed her Master of Science in Nursing from California State University Fullerton where she became a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
Cassandra’s Philosophy of care: “I have a strong sense of passion for caring for mothers and newborns. I believe that as a provider it is important to meet patients where they are and provide empathetic and compassionate medical care aiming to bridge the gap that can exist in medicine. With appropriate education, my patients can learn to make the best decisions for both themselves and their growing families.”

Debbie Tobin

Certified as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 1992. Graduated from RN program in 1982.
Debbie has over 20 years of experience working in an OBGYN office. During the last 15 years she has teamed with Dr Akerman.
Worked in the Labor & Delivery Department at St Joseph Hospital for 10 years.
As an Orange, CA laborist and pregnancy nurse, she specializes in counseling for contraception, STD screening, menopause management, infertility and providing bilingual care to patients.

25 years experience in labor and delivery and postpartum care.
Experience working with high risk patients in Maternal Fetal Health at St. Joseph.
Lisa is committed to delivering holistic patient care with a strong focus on disease prevention.
She believes that delivering high-quality care combined with personalized guidance helps foster trusting and supportive relationships.

With a strong foundation in Labor and Delivery, along with experience in both OB/GYN and urgent care, she is equipped to support women through all stages of life, empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed health decisions.
